Modgraph Imaging Suite

Description

Modgraph ( http://www.modgraph.co.uk ) provides a suite of programs to generate images of molecular structure in a wide variety of circumstances and formats.

• You can produce either GIF, JPEG or PNG images

• You can specify structures as SMILES (with optional coordinates), or as MOL or SD Files

• You can load structures from files, or you can retrieve structures stored in an Oracle database

• You can create images from a command-line application, or in a web environment using the ``Fast CGI'' technology for high-performance web images.

The Modgraph Imaging Suite includes:

smi2image

A web-server CGI to create images from SMILES for use in web pages.

mol2image

Generates image files from a MOL or SD file.

dmol2image

Generates images from MOL or SD files stored in Oracle. Operates either as a command-line program to create image files, or as a ``Fast CGI'' web-server to create images for web pages.

reg2image

Generates images from molecules in the Modgraph Registry database. Uses styles and annotations that are specific to the Modgraph Registry system. Operates either as a command-line program to create PNG image files, or as a ``Fast CGI'' web-server to create images for web pages.
